Current Shoe Obession: Wedges

Hello Lovelies!

I came to the conclusion that it was about time that I did another fashion post, considering the fact that I haven't done anything fashion related since my Summer 2013 Fashion Trend Series, because I have been heavily wrapped up in promoting my Facebook, and doing makeup lately. Even though I haven't posted anything I am always finding myself creating outfits on Polyvore, which is like a giant dress up game for adults, and lately a lot of my outfits have contained wedges, so I decided that I needed to dedicate a post just to them.

To start off here is picture of three pairs of my own wedges from my Instagram. The polka dotted pair are from Payless, plain black pair are from Torrid, and the black strappy pair are from Just Fab.

I absolutely love wedges because not only do they tend to be more comfortable, but they can be worn many different ways. I also think wedges are perfect for all seasons, as there are many different styles of wedges, even wedge boots for winter. Lately wedge sneakers have been trending and are available in almost every shoe store I have came across, although they do not fit my personal style they do look cute paired with the right outfit.

Fashion Trends Summer 2013: Crop Tops

Hello Lovelies!

Crop tops are something I personally would never wear, but they have been reappearing heavily on the runway and have made it into the list of trends for this summer. I feel crop tops are the type of clothing that you have to be very careful pairing with other pieces because you can easily go from fashionable to appearing scantily clad. I personally am fond of bralets paired with flowy skirts or even a pencil skirt that covers more leg, you have to find that right balance of how much skin you are showing, too much skin and the outfit goes from fashionable to being inappropriate. Below are some pictures of crop tops that I think should just never be worn, most of them it's because of their print, others because of the shape.

Like always I love to show off celebrities rocking the trend, so below are some pictures of celebs wearing either crop tops or bralets. I absolutely love Miley's and Selena's ensembles.

My First Makeup Contest Win!

Hello Lovelies!

 

Well.... I was about to lay down for the night and I had this sudden urge to check my stuff (social media) before I headed to bed, and boy am I glad I did. I popped onto Facebook to find out that I won first place in the advanced category for a pinup contest held by SexyLuna Makeup and Groovy MiMi. Considering pinup is kinda sorta my thing I am super excited because I have never really won anything, I did get third place in a pinup contest awhile ago held by a company out of Chicago though.

 

I now am so excited that I really don't think I can sleep, but I know I have to at least lay down so I plan on watching something on Netflix. Before I head off though I am going to share a photo from the pinup "shoot" that I did for this contest. Then tomorrow, technically later today, I will be posting Day Four of my Summer Fashion Trends and possibly a makeup tutorial, so please stay tuned!
